Yes, Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter, was jabbed in the heart by a sting ray barb. It happened while filming an underwater documentary in the Great Barrier Reef. Sad, but true.

No Way! It's impossible for the Crocodile Hunter to be dead, because I still see new episodes on Animal Planet!

yes a very large stingray barb died in a Helicopter on the Way to the Hospital in Australia, sad day, Great Loss, God Rest His Soul(news update ) correction it was a barb, but it went into his lung different news channel, he was doing a documentary on them when it happened currently up dated sorry for the first report but that's what they said, CNN most trusted name in news

yes, a sting ray has a small bob on the end of it's tail and he got to close. The bob stuck him under the rib and close to the heart. The poison killed him...

He was stung in the heart by a stingray while filming for his daughter's television show. The stingray's barb pierced his heart. Crikey :(
