and I know this is a stupid question
but, I was wondering if
on the first day should I
bring my backback?

I think what you really want to know is if you will look out of place with a backback. What if no one else has one, will you look stupid? I wouldn't worry about it too much, because everyone else will be worried about the same things. I am sure there will be a lot of other kids with backpacks, and there will be kids without backpacks.

Yes you will need it. You will have plenty of forms for your parents to sign and I know you would not want to carry it all in your arms. Plus you might be assigned classroom books,
plus be given other reading material. It would be a good idea to bring your backpack on the first day.

I don't think you should bring your backpack. It's the first day you aren't going to use every material.

Yes. i'm going into 6th grade and i got 4 pounds of homework on my 1st day (I weighed it) So yes you need your backpac!
