You can cheat on anything. However, it largely defeats the purpose, and drastically increases the civil and criminal liability if you cheat on a background check.

I know one person who was hired based on a forged background history report. When the company found out, they sued the person for all of the salary that person had earned since being hired based on the false report. The company won.

First pay to have a background check done on yourself to see what they come up with. Then anything negative you could at least be aware of and maybe come up with a reasonable explanation for it.
