May I suggest that if you really felt that he has cheated on you just like many of the contractors from JB or China, may I suggest that you gather all the evidence together and bring them up to Case and HDB (if you are living in a HDB & had used them as a licence HDB Contractor) This is because if your complaint is valid, they can be strike out from HDB approved contractor listing.

Do not worry about them threatening you on violence, this is singapore. You can lodge a police report and also further get him arrested if he does that.
