I have a swiffer--prefer the old string mop tho. I read somewhere the swiffer solution is a molecule away from antifreeze ( don't know if it is true or not)- so don't use it if you have babies or pets on the floor- just in case. I can't afford both the refill bottles & the pads. I cut a hole in the swiffer bottle when it was empty (be sure to leave it attatched to the mop if you do this as it won't go back on without leaking once you pull it off) & just filled it with soapy water.

I don't know that it works any better but it is easier and quicker to mop. No ringing out your mop every few minutes. You do have to use and new pad each time you mop so it you mop more than once a week it can get expensice.
We have a very small amount of linoliem in our home so it works great for us, our kitchen area is rather small and other than that it's 3 bathrooms and the laundry room.

I did not like the Swifter mop. The liquid stuff that is used for floors left my tile floor with a film on it. I did not like that at all. I had to remop the floor when I got through.

I'd say they were about the same. With the Swiffer you still have to pick up debris when you're done mopping. I like the Swiffer because you don't need a bucket. That's about the only advantage. One disadvantage is you have to buy bottles of cleaner that only fit the Swiffer unit and replacement pads.
Have a great day!!!

I definitely love my WetJet. that's outstanding!! I at present have the antibacterial fluid in it precise now, and it smells outstanding, too. It takes lots much less attempt than a mop. there is not any buckets of water, no mop head to wring out, no pushing grimy water around, no streaks, none of that. merely the push of a button, and the fluid comes out. there is likewise a available little scrubber on the single area so all you're able to do is turn the WetJet around, and scrub the stains. i actually do no longer even could use that for the duration of any respect. as a count of actuality, mine continues to be sparkling. as long as I placed the liquid instantaneous, and enable it sit down for a minute, it comes off actually. My youngsters love seeing the pad get all grimy. I style of do too :-/ that's extraordinarily neat tho. i might surely propose it. Plus, think of approximately while the toddler comes and if the toddler by twist of fate pukes on the floor. You wont could placed him/her right down to fill a bucket, placed some cleansing fluid in it, wring out the mop, unload it, and sparkling the mop. you merely grab the WetJet, push a button, and there ya go!!!

I have a swiffer and I use it for small spills, etc. But for the deep cleaning, I prefer the string type. I don't remmber what it's called, but it has 1/2" strands and you wring it out by twisting the handle, so you never have to touch the mop head. I really like that one . I don't really care for the swiffer at all.

I personally prefer the mop and bucket, the Swifter and I do not agree. It does not clean thoroughly enough for me. I normally sweep first then swifter (dry), then mop.

Swifter is awesome. You throw away the dirty pad. String mops are so hard to clean and they just push the dirt around more.
