with the internet you can practically have them in the room with you at all times. when I went to school (100 years ago) there was snail mail and the phone cost a fortune. now you've got cell phones embedded in your ear and you can use the web cam. don't sweat it, travel is easy and school goes by so quickly. i'm 275 years old and i still have lots of my friends from high school and college and I've moved all over the country. just go and do. real friends stay friends for life. good luck!
