I was on a traveling soft ball team also. and my positions were 1st pitcher, short stop and center . 2nd catcher. I was honored to be on the team and I did not care what position I played> i worked so hard to be one of the best and nothing could of kept me from playing. I didn't give it a second thought. I went. I played. I had Fun and was pround of my self and the team . I didnt care about anything just playing .it is not what position you play or who is playing , it is being a good player and having the honor to be on that team.

I come from a family that loves Baseball & Softball.
If I were you, I'd play even if I didn't get the position I wanted.
I guess it all depends on how much you enjoy the game.
And with it being a traveling league, you're gonna have lots
of fun if you go. Good Luck to you!

I would go ahead and give it a try and if you later decide you don't want to play for that team then you can leave and play for another.

I think you should! It is always good to get used to playing different positions, and you would meet alot of new people. Plus it will be good for your body (good exercise) and it will expand your horizons (learning other positions!) Sounds like a win-win situation to me! Good luck!

This would be great for you, but consider this. Would you be great for the team. Not just ability, but attitude, devotion and support. If yes, join.

go for it
it really doesnt matter if your friend will join with you
cause you will meet lots of new people on the team
you will get fit, and it will help when you go back to play pitcher.
i say...
GO FOR IT!!! (:
best of luck.

well if you really want to be on the team and are really motivated, then you should get on the team...i don't see why not. but, if you're not up to all those practices maybe it's not for you.

no i think you shouldn't do it because you wont get to play your best position there will be other chances where you can play your favorite position.
