What's the difference. They have probably shaved hundreds of men and women so it's just a job to them. I had it done more than once and I even got an erection on one occasion that went completely unnoticed by the woman shaving me. They probably see that happen many times so don't worry about it.

It really doesn't make a difference as long as they are compassionate medical professionals. I can understand why guys feel a little nervous about other men shaving them in the hospital, but these fears are unfounded..... like anyone else with a job to do, nurses just want to do what they need to and go home at the end of the day. Good luck and a speedy recovery to your procedure.

I would rather have a female nurse do me, but you maybe out of luck as I have never seen a female orderly preparing a male for a procedure unless maybe shaving your knees. You must be having a vacectomy..I go to a female dermatolagist and she is beautiful, blonde, and in her first year as a physician at this hospital. I had a mold frozen off my head, and she also told me that everyone needs a "full body" scan once a year. I asked her; "you want peep"? will you? She only laughted...

I had some testicular surgery, some years ago, and I was like you, embarrassed as hell, because I'd have to be shaved. I asked to do it myself, and made a terrible mess... (OK, let's see YOU shave your balls with a little pink plastic disposable, and not spill blood...)
Eventually the nurse came back and was completly sympathetic, tried hard not to laugh, took over and did a perfect "plucked-turkey job" as she called it, had me laughing most of the time
Let's face it, doctors and nurses have seen everything, often three or four times a day - and their job is to get you through it, as easily as possible.
Relax, and let them do their job.... you'll be fine
