It's the Latin hot-headed temperament. They are very passionate women. Plus, the fact that Italian men are unreliable sleazeballs who treat their women like sh*t.

I am Italian, and I know I can be really jealous. Ask my partner, it drives him mad. It is this fear that takes over that all that is precious to you might be taken away. I think deep down it is a symptom of great insecurity. I did some really daft things in the past to check on my man, I will not embarass myself further by giving you details but I have a tendency to be suspicious and sneaky...I am more relaxed now I am older and stronger in myself but there are still days when 'the green eyed monster' pays a visit. Maybe a factor is that Italian society does not encourage young women enough toward self knowledge, maybe it'sbecause there are so few positive female role models. This is not helped by italian media, particularly TV, where only good looking females are employed to appear as 'mere 'ornaments'. what do you think? Why are Italian girls jealous in your experience?

Are you asking this because of your own bad experience with an Italian girl? Jealousy is an universal trait found in a lot of women, not just the Italian ones. Usually those who have a low self-esteem or very little sense of security have the most problem with jealousy.

Why are you generalizing? I'd like to see your data.
Maybe you are doing something to provoke jealousy and just happen to have a statistically invalid number of Italian girls of your acquaintance.
