A jackalope is a made up creature. There was a fashion for inventing specimens from other animals back in the days of new world exploration. One such animal was the jackalope- a rabbit with horns. The practise became so well known that many people wouldn't accept the duck-billed platypus was a real creature until a live specimen was produced.

A jackalo or jackalope first appeared in 1991 on americas funniest videos. He is a jack rabbit cross antelope that can run really fast and if you ever spot one you can be sure he is up to mischeif. Causing someone a flat tire, or maybe he's even borrowed your car keys only for them to turn up in an obscure spot in the house. But don't try to catch him, all you will see is a flash of fur and horns and hear him shout "fast as fast can be you can't catch me I am the jackalo".

Now sometimes you’re up
And sometimes you’re down
When you find that you’re down
Well, just look around
You’ve still got a body
Good legs and fine feet
Get your head in the right place
And hey you’re complete.

Now as for the dancin’
You can do more
You can reach great heights
In fact you can soar
You just get a leg up
And you slap it on down
And you’ll find you’re up
In what’s called the
bound bound bound
and rebound.”

The Jackalope's song to a poor sheered sheep at the beginning of film The Incredibles.

Doesnt tell you what one is does it?!! but if you watch the little pre film, you can see for yourself!
