The problem is that my boyfriends wants to move there (to work for the CDC) and I would love to, but i think we should be married before I move hundreds of miles away with my (fr. a prev. relationship)4 year old son to start a life with him. We're both in our late 20's and have been dating for a little over a year. I'm a nurse so finding work is like piece of cake but still Am I wrong in thinking he will never marry me if I agree to go without getting married first?

You need to discuss these things with him. There is no saying that even if he moves you have to go right away too anyway. Maybe you could try the long distance thing for a while, so you don't have to move your son right away, and so that you can check out the Atlanta area for a while during visits. Check out the area schools, activities, and make sure that it is a place where you want to raise your son.

Yes, you need to get married first, before you make such a drastic move....if that is where this relationship is headed. If not, then don't get married, but don't move either. Your son needs more stability in his life. You, and your boyfriend, need to sit down and SERIOUSLY discuss your future together. Demand honesty, and then you'll know what the next step to take is. Yes, to answer your question.....Atlanta is a great place to live.
