if he has a probation or yot worker, they should be able to refer him to one of their partnerships which liaise with employers.. there was a great support agency but sadly the government with drew funding. Dependant on his offences, he may not have to undertake a disclosure for casual or agency work, they may not ask.. If he is over 18 building sites and labouring may give him employment regardless of his precons. Ti's s tough one. Word of caution, if you sign the "no convictions" part of an application form, and they discover he has them - he can be sacked or face a charge. Also best way round having to put across criminal convictions on a from, is to write in the box, will discuss at interview, as it gives the interviewer a chance to hear what he has to say with out pre-judgement.. not an easy one though, good luck to him.

On the one hand, I do feel some sympathy for someone trying to start a new life after prison. On the other hand, I can see why employers would not want a convict working for them. It would scare the people around them and they could not be trusted.
Unfortunately, your young relative has blotted their own ledger and he/she will have to live with the consequences of that for the rest of his/her life. I hope that someone gives him/her a break and that they don't turn to crime again and end up back in prison. That's a waste of life.

90% of employers have no way of checking if some one has precons or not, just be aware of any security clearance- then stay clear.
best advice agencies, but nothing that will need security clearance.. 7 years before it come off and you don't have to worry about disclosure..
Happy job hunting go for what you want.

Your cousin should have though of the consequences before he commited a crime. Society does not need people like that, and it serves him right that he can't find a job.
