It may be almost impossible to do if the pee has soaked into the mattress and is inside. However, this site tells you how to remove pee stains and odor and you don't need to spend a lot of money - just baking soda, vinegar, dish washing liquid, and hydrogen peroxide. It is a dog care site so the information is for puppy urine, but urine is urine, and it will work for the pee stains on the mattress too. I'd make sure I dried the mattress thoroughly afterwards - i think I'd probably use a hair dryer.
I hope this works and best of luck with it.

There's this enzyme stuff that is suppose to get rid of pet and human odors - it's called Kid & Pets. I've found it in the cleaning products aisle of Fred Meyer's (a superstore) and it works great. Sometimes pet supply stores care these type of products too. You usually have to drench the area with the product and let it air dry.

rent a carpet cleaner with the upholstery attatchment & shampoo it. buy bissel carpet shampoo for pets. I find it works way better than any other shampoo. to save a few dollars use 1/4 cup or so of plain white vinegar as a defoamer in the dirty water compartment.

take out side let it air dry in the sun. use a pine or disinfectant cleaner while out side, wipe with damp not overly wet cloth. scrub and repeat at least twice.... after dried ..., spray Lysol or disinfectant spray , not soaking the mattress, let dry and bring in.Do both sides and all the way around.....
