I recently stayed in a hotel outside Atlantic City, NJ. The sheets were paper thin and worn away in some spots. At one point we noticed something crawling from the rug onto the wall and upon further inspection realized it was a slug. How it got in the room...no idea! We had nowhere else to go and we were paying a decent amount for the room. It sucked, but lesson learned. What gross things have you experienced in a hotel room you just HAD to put up with for the night?

stayed in a hotel in nyc, and the room smelled of death. i just finished a marathon flight schedule from india, germany, paris, amsterdam, and then nyc, so i was just too tired to raise any issues with the hotel manager. upon waking up in the morning, i felt quite nauseated with a tremendous headache, and the smell smelled worse than the night previous. I looked under my bed, and found not one, but 4 dead rats!!! i informed the front desk immediately, and they denied that anything like my story can ever happen in their hotel. so, i showed them the greusome sight, and they were very apologetic. they offerered me one of the superiour suites for the rest of my stay. i told them to check every corner before i accept their generous offer (which of course i eventually did after checking the place myself). that was the only time i was ever upgraded to a corner suite.

I stayed at a relatively nice chain-hotel in Daytona one year for spring break with some friends when I was in college. It was in one of those hotel rooms where theres a kitchen between each room, but the door locks on either side depending on who paid for the room with the kitchen. Well, my friends and I got to the room, and not knowing what the door was, opened it (it was not locked as it should have been) and interrupted an ugly old couple having sex on the floor. EWWWWWWWW! In the KITCHEN!

Well I have never experienced anything gross or desturbing in a hotel room but i have watched a show called bed bugs and it is DISCUSTING!!!!! watch it and you will be soo grossed out at all of the nasty things those bed bugs do and where they are found in hotels and everything!!! i always check for them before i lay down. and i usually only go under the first blanket (they like to hide way down in the sheets and the matress) oh and dont be all paranoid about them!!! there not found in every hotel!!!!!!! dont worry!!!

It was up-state NY close to the border of Canada. Our ceiling had brown spots and our sheets were damp as if it just came out of the washer. The water including the shower smelled like rotten eggs!!! To top this off we found a nest of some insect eggs.

i stayed in a hotel in orlando it wasnt cheap nice outside , when me and my husband with are son got to are room there was still poeple sleeping in it , then the next room we got was nasty bugs on the walls , the sheets had smelly stuff stains on it , i had white socks on and they were black , then the worst part that i said lets go sleep in the car was when i went to take my son a shower the toilet still had poo poo in it . i started yellin and ran down to the front desk told them that this place was the nasty oh god!!!! we went arcoss the street and got anther hotle cheaper then what we paid for and it was a 4 star hotel . what made me mad was they woouldnt give us are money back all the said was sorry . so i started telling people checking in what happened . i got the 4 people checking in to leave . that made me happy
