Oh no, you're not boring! I like hearing about everyone's experiences. I have never been to an Anime-only convention, but I have been to the San Diego Comic-Con 3 times. My first time attending was in 2006 and I had no idea what to expect, other than being there with over 150,000 people during the 4 days of the Con. One of the, if not THE highlights of the 2006 SDCC was when I was just walking down this one aisle, away from the main crowd (oh man, what body odor!), looking for the Del Rey Manga booth, and I just happened to look over to my left and saw the voice actors for the Elric brothers from Fullmetal Alchemist, Vic Mignogna & Aaron Dismuke, signing autographs! The line was only 10 minutes waiting (shortest line that day too!!) and I had a ball talking to the man in front of me, who was standing in line for his son, and also one of the guys who was watching the line. We talked about all sorts of stuff and the time went by quickly. When I got up to the table, I was very happily surprised that Vic & Aaron were so cool, talked to each of those in line and were genuinely concerned that we were waiting in such a long line. They were very cool to talk to and Aaron even drew a little version of Al when he signed the poster for me! That was a very cool experience and I will remember it for some time to come! A fun thing that happened at this year's \\\sdcc was that I met up with one of the ladies who is a member of one of the Yahoo! groups I belong to. We went to lunch (away from the Convention), had a good chat and it was fun. I see all sorts of people who cosplay. This year there were two Roy Mustangs that I saw, one or two Ed's, some Couds from FF7:AC, and one Monkey D Luffy. There were a few Ichigo Kurosaki's, probably because of Tito Kube's appearance there this year. Oh, and another cool surprise, was that Hiro Mashima, author & artist of Rave Master & Fairy Tail was also at the Convention!! I can't really pinpoint much & I apologize for that. It's the unplanned for and totally out of the blue experiences that make a Convention the most fun. Getting all that free swag isn't too shabby either!!
