No I think contrary to this, they have raised the profile of the Prem.
Big players no longer have Italy and Spain as their first choice, it's England now.
Just look at the signings Blackburn, Pompey, Newcastle, Villa and other mid-tabes team pick up. A couple of years back they would be spending big money on players like Hartson, Bowyer and other English based players without much success.
But now they can attract the likes of D'Allessandro, Martins, Petrov et al, all big players in their respective countries.
Chelsea have opened doors for many other clubs, plus you can pick up their castaways like Duff, Jarosek, Johnson and others at cheaper prices.

So I take it you support Man Utd!!
In all truth ,Chelsea fan as I am, I think they and all the big money in football are ruining the sport.
Unfortunately it is now all about business.

Ok, I don't really like Chelsea, I'd rather have Manchester United win, but I mean, if they have that money, why not spend it?

Amen to that brother!! It's time they realise that having all the "best" players in the world does not automatically ensure success! Just look at Real Madrid!!
