I got ripped off by a certain modeling company with other lawsuits against them. I was sick and they did not allow me to make up my classes and them mysteriously closed. They promised me the world. I was told that they are also NOT licensed to have a modeling company in my city. Should I sue? They have been sued before.

I know the legal process. I have had friends who have told me. You do not pay a lawyer in my state until you actually win. So no legal fees.

And they are still in business in other states.

You can file a suit to preserve your rights, but chances are your money's long gone....

Your best chance at having any shot of a refund is if you can find other girls who were ripped off and all of you write letters to the Attorney General in your state. Be specific about who did what and what happened when!

If he/she believes that the company was committing fraud, the AG may file a petition with the Federal Court to block the inevitable bankruptcy petition the modeling company will file.

If they already have lawsuits against them, it's a good bet that you would have a good case against them. However, you may not be able to get anything from them; if they have no money, they can't give you any. You could always try suing the executives though. Consult an attorney for more information.

I guess it all depends on how much of your money you had invested in the modeling company. If its not much, then it is not worth your time or money. You probably be loosing more money in court fees and lawyers.
