I think it's because they believe it's the only way you'll be saved and they are angry because you are passing up a chance to live forever... I am a Christian, but I wouldn't get angry at someone for not accepting Christ into their heart- everyone has the choice to believe in what they wish! The only reason I am a Christian is because when I was little my dad made me blind to the world around and told me Christianity is the only way.

why do u generalize that way? not everyone will start a war with you if u believe anything different than them. I know a lot of people who are able to respect peoples' points of view while still believing in their own without problems. IMO those people get angry because every day we get told about right vs. wrong.. good vs bad black vs white and never realise that there is a lot of **** that falls in between. Why should we blindly just hate opposition?

Because this kind of people always want to be right. Religious and political people look people with different beliefs as "adversaries", "enemies". That is one of the reasons for so much blood shed and suffering.
I am a Christian, not a religious person. For me being a Christian is not belonging to a religious or to a political party: it is a way of life. I regard people that do not share my beliefs with love and pity. Pity, because I am so sure of Christ and I am so happy with Him and they don´t know this marvelous person. I respect their ways. I try once or twice to talk to them about my way, but if they don´t like it or don´nt agree, I don´t insist. They, like me, have the right of freedom of thinking and speech.

They are basically insecure in their own beliefs. Their ego is insulted if you don't think they're right, you are wrong and should agree with them (if you have any common sense) Fear of embarrassment in front of peers. They are narrow-minded.

because they hate the fact that people cant understand their point of view, but they do the exact same thing... they block out other people's opinion by only "understanding" their own.

because they are narrow minded and think that if you don't share their beliefs, you are against them and their beliefs and have no right to share any of your thoughts with them.
they need to be more open minded to the other beliefs of the world.

Aren't you touched that they all want to help you get to Heaven when you die?

Except the Scientologists. They just want your money.
