I can turn it on, and I can get to the internet (Yahoo Homepage) but I can't get to anything else.

I have run a defrag, and am checking for spyware, and anti-virus shows nothing "bad"... What should I look for now?

We have restarted it twice. (The second time was against my better judgement, but others in the household are VERY impatient.)

Added info:

I have Windows XP.

I am not on dial-up.

I have tried both Firfox and Internet Explorer. Same problem with both.

Of course that computer is running out of the same IP address.

We have ONE modem. We have ONE Router. We have ONE IP Addy.

TRUST me, I tried to get THAT changed a long time ago, and the ISP gave me all sorts of fits over that.

(((Brother got banned from one of MY favorite sites, so I could not get on...)))

Your an Idiot huh? You certainly don't have the proper protection or you have too many Trojans installed with junky programs, nothing wrong with your computer, yes you have a Trojan or "too" many Trojans, you just need the proper programs like AVG 7.1 Professional and Webroot Spy Sweeper those are the best programs for virus,Trojans, worms,Adware, and Spyware removal!!!!! Oh,yeah do not stress by calling multiple computer companies to take care of this problem because they might charge you alot, just call your PC provider for any software or search some on the internet but only the sites that looks okay for you to down load items (you don't want another Trojan)Hope this helps!!!!!!!

Reboot you computer is locking up on the home page.
Do you have access to files etc if not it is locked up.
If restart doesnt work close the computer down for 3 mins or so and restart.

Maybe change you home page (if you can) as yahoo could be the problem.
Use internet options to do this.

without more info not much more I can do

As previously stated above it is most probably a problem with your ISP. Give them a ring. or wait and try again.
If there is a long delay with your ISP ring a friend who is on the same service and ask them to log on and see if they have a prob

Call the ISP and see if they are having issues. The Yahoo homepage might be the one in the cache.

Restarting is not going to help. Defrag is not going to help either.

How about your OS or operating system? Maybe you need to reboot your computer and reinstall windows if you have the disk since your internet explorer is shot.
