My co-teacher is asking me a favor
He's half-Iranian
I only know him a about a month or so
He's asking me to make an invitation letter for his friend
His friend is Iranian but I don't know his friend
The letter is inviting his friend to study in the country
I'm having second thoughts about it
because I don't want any problem later on with the immigration
just in case his friend decide to do something illegal or something
I feel like backing out
I feel like I don't want to make that letter anymore

Because I watched the TV Series "24" that's why I feel like backing out

Thanks for all your help

I know what to do

I'll tell him "No, I'm sorry I can't do it, I don't know him."

I think you should just explain to the person, "I've looked into it a little more, and I'm kind of uncomfortable writing a letter on behalf of someone I don't know. You need to find someone who knows him personally to write a letter for him."

If you're asked for details, just say, "I'd really rather not talk more about it. I feel bad that I can't help you right now and would rather talk about something else."

Well, he's going to sign the letter, right? And the letter will be typed, right?
So how would anyone know that you composed it?

By the way, 24 is a good show, but don't let it make you TOO paranoid. Most Iranians are fine folks.

do not do it the letter is clearly an attempt at deception. the fact that he asked you to do something dishonest makes him a liar and a cheat. Tell him to go **** himself

Tell him you have been told that you can't write the letter so he will have to find someone else to do it.

Don't do it!
If it doesn't feel right it isn't.
Don't risk everything that you have ever worked for.

if you have to ask someone else's opinion, it is because you dont want to write it, if you did, you would known it.

Why doesn't he do it himself? I don't think you should do it. It makes no sense you do it. You don't even know him.

if you are not comfortable, don't do it ... why would you get involved when you don't even know the guy?
