I read on the news this morning that Steve Irwin a.k.a. "Crocidile Hunter" was killed when a stingray's barb pierced his heart. Out of all the crazy, magnificent things that man has done, he was killed in an accident. I know I will miss him. It is because of him that my children developed an intrest in animals. Will you miss him?

I will miss his infectious enthusiasm. I am so sad for his wife and family. No one can replace Irwin. He left us too soon. Rest in Peace.

yes, because he lived the way he wanted to. when he fed a croc holding a baby, it was teaching the baby the way he had learned. Because of political bs in the U.S. it was blown out of proportion. He was an Adventurer. That is a very rare person these days. Seems like everyone nowadays is in a "safety mode". ie "dont take any chances because you might fail" or worse yet, " Dont do anything dangerous, you might get hurt" I thank God there are still risk takers in the world! What world would we live in now if not for Galileo, Columbus, Lewis and Clark, do i dare say Steve Jobs?

I will infact miss the Crocodile Hunter. He was so brave and just the fact that he would even go near a crocodile is so amazing! I think we lost a legend today and the world should have a national Crocodile Hunter day on Labor Day. It was really really sad when i first heard that he died. I feel so bad for his family because his children loved him dearly, and they are just little and they must be soo heart-broken.

He's the Crocidile Hunter. I will miss him. He was so good with animals and then for him to get killed by an animal bite? I don't understand that. But I will miss him.

Yes...he was a legend and will be greatly missed. I'm very saddened by this and hope that people are respectful of the loss and don't make fun of it. I've already seen some posts that have made me mad. He did what he loved and taught me the beauty in things that most people find horrifying. He will be missed.

Yes, if he is really dead. It is a real loss for all of us. What a fun and interesting character he was. He probably would like the way he went though. I'll miss him.
