Honour and respect are based on the principles of Shishtachar. Women are equalpartners of men and should first acknowledge themselves as such.Their extention of respect to men should not be at the cost of their sense of dignity. The principles of shishtachar envisage that one should stand up against all efforts at being scape-goated: Some fundamental principles---a bully should be tackled right at the spot. No women should be so enamoured of a man that she allows herself to be used as a door mat by the man.Women must learn to differentiate between goodness and stupidity. Financial dependence does not mean slavery-women must be aware of their own contribution to the man and his family.Lastly, no one relationship assures your trademark to success in love.It is a one to one deal-not a cry-baby trelation where you expect a man to be with hanky to wipe your tears every tinme you shed one.

Irrespective of the question of being men or women, it is the nature of human mind to show respect to the stronger and disrespect weaker. The roles are continually switching on and off from situation to situation.

Respect fuelled by fear. It is a natural feeling. The bible uses it, the law uses it, schools use it, parents use it...
The only people who don't use it are the people that are frozen by it.
I know, it sounds bad. I generally care for people who's lives are controlled by fear. I try to leave them alone, since they are only afraid of me trying to help them.
The respect you talk about, is called being weak. People who lack the ability to respect others take advantage of your respect and take things from you, which you consider to be painful. They only see it as life.

Not how I work with people but I would've thought that those you are on about would care more for what they have to work hard for.
