i cant believe he died that was so said and a sting ray did it he just got to close and the sadest part was all of his family was in the boat and i think they got it on film cause they were doing a segment on it who was sad about the death i was so was my bro cause my bro watched his show alll the time

Actually his family wasn't with him on the boat. His wife was notified while on a hike. It is a tragic accident. He died doing what he loved. My prayers go out to his wife and children. He was a legand and will be greatly missed.

I, too, am saddened that a wonderful person who gave so much to those around him is gone. He was an inspiration to many, and promoted wildlife awareness in a way that was uniquely his. Crickey, he will be missed.

I am shocked too.....we used to watch his show all the time and he almost seemed like a family member (as dumb as that may sound).....very very sad.....

well of course i was sad...but he took his life in his hands every time he did a dangerous segment like that.
