The BEST way is to use MS Excel. Enter the data there, make the graph, then you can LITERALLY drag and drop the graph and the data onto a Word Document. It dont get easier than that.

to WRITE equations in word, you have to insert an object "microsoft equation 3.0" into your document
to make a graph of them, I'd recommend either using excell if it's a simple equation and inserting the graph you would get with it, or use a better tool, like matlab (if you have it) and simply "print screen" it...

If you have Geometer's Sketchpad, I think you can graph lines there, and I KNOW that you can copy from there and paste in a word document.
