sorry about mispelling his name that doesnt get fixed by a spellchecker, if your going to make a joke or be rude please refrain, think of a sensible answer to the question posed what would be a good memorial for a conservationist of his stature

Awww man it makes me sad to think about it. I've always adored him and my kids have always loved him as well. A fitting memorial...I think that a special day at the zoo where all the proceeds go to a new conservation park or something like that. On this day, croc shows by his best mates who he loved dearly...a presentation by his little girl, showing whatever is it she would like to show. They were already planning on starting a show with her and Steve next season. He loved his kids so much, and it showed in everything that he did. He worshiped them and took every moment that he could take to spend quality time with them and show them that he loved them above anything else. We have all definitely lost a wonderful advocate on animal welfare and conservation. Me and my family were very upset by the news of his death and we wish their family all the best and hope that they continue his work, which I'm sure they will. And THAT...the continuation of his work, will be the best memorial that could be given. It's what his life was about and what he would have wanted.
Rest in peace mate, we love you and you will be missed terribly. Croc's rule!

I remember the first time I watched Steve Irwin's "The Crocodile Hunter". I thought he was the craziest person on the face of the planet! Anyone watching his show will realize that he was very dedicated about conservation. He is a long time proponent for all animals and my heart goes out to his friends and family.

I was shocked to hear that Steve Irwin died. I have watched his show for years now and thought he was extremely adventureous and very brave. His show was exciting and informative. My hubby and I will miss him. At least he died doing what he loved. Not many people get that opportunity. My condolsences go out to his Wife and the two beautiful children he left behind. Rest in Peace Steve Irwin.

Steve Irwin was and still will be a legend in years to come. You wouldnt think a stingray would have killed him u would expect it to have been a crocodile or a snake, i for one am really sad by his death. my thoughts are going out to his family especially his wife Teri and his children Bindi and Bob. 44 years old isnt an age to die when he had his whole life still ahead of him. R.I.P The Crocodile Hunter - The one and only Steve Irwin

His enthusiasm was second to none... I think David Attenber does the best coverage of any wide life show, Now. I have a 6 year old son, try to get him to watch DA never...will he watch SI yes because he makes it interesting.... I liked him...Ironic he got killed by something that is hardly a predator to humans when you think what he has dealt with in the past...

R.I.P Steve....You will be missed and thinking about Teri and his kids....

An education center/school to teach people about wildlife... He just wanted to make sure we saw it's importance... I blame his death on everyone in this "jack*ss" style society... Now you can't get people to pay attention w/o putting your life in danger and he gave his for mother nature... If there's a heaven, St. Francis met him at the door!!! RIP Steve!!!

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

The guy seemed invincible, I mean he handled snakes, crocs (of course), and other dangerous reptiles. I really thought it was a joke when they said he had died. I'm still in shock...
If you want something fitting for his memory, build another section of his zoo in his name. Cliched, I know, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
