I think there should be a category for Nascar and a category for all others. I get tired of looking at questions about Nascar that are ignorant. It is quite obvious some have never even watched a Nascar race.

i do think that Yahoo can broaden their horizon's on the subjects, but i do have to tip my brim to you for loving the sport, not many women like watching Nascar racing.

i agree they should have their own category as 1/2 the questions in motorsports or better are directed towards nascar. this is not because i think nascar deserves some sort of elevated status over other forms of motorsports, just out of neccessity. i have alot of respect for all motorsports. having said that, yes, it would make things easier.

I agree as big as NASCAR is in the States it should have it's own category. 100,000 people at the track and millions more watch on tv. It has quite a following for sure

No, as it is there aren't nearly as many questions in this category as there are in some others, like baseball. No need to separate it, it's just fine as it is.
And you can't just have NASCAR and "all others". You would have to have a category for the IRL and probably F1 too.

Nascar, F1, IRL, Champ cars, IMSA, and the list goes on, ALL could have their own sub. If they will get it who knows, Maybe someday?

Lets be practical.
If we really wanted, to you could break motorsports into over a dozen separte sub catagories. I mean do we really need 6 or six separate drag racing catagories for ( nhra, ihra,nria,nmca, etc.)??? I think one keeps things simple.
