It all depends on the actual design and quality of your gold wedge sandals and your little black dress. Gold can be as garish or elegant. If the sandals are not flashy, then why not? Avoid very complicated design (especially those with a lot of metal studs) or very high stilletoes with too much jewellery on top. Those are too footballers' wife-ish. As for your little black dress, go for something feminine but not too revealing and you'll be fine. Believe me, men like to see flesh but they are also put off by too much of it. And, if your b/f has this concern, then you should think about it carefully and try not to upset him.

Since it is a dinner party, gold sandals would look elegant with a black dress...especially if your accessories are gold. I'm sure you'll look beautiful!

If it's a nice dinner party, then I would wear black pumps, or maybe red heels, if it's a little more casual, then I would wear the gold.

It depends, you might want to be a little more conservative. However, you might get away with it if you are not white. You want to err on the side of conservative when going to parties like these...save the gold shoes for the after-party.

Ummm well seeing as you will be havin dinner with his boss u should really be formal (i.e smart black/silver shoes with a small heel). But, it is totally up to u!

If it is for a dinner party, I'd say why not?
If this is so important to your b/f, then I would wear black shoes this first meeting. It is important to him and his future.

hmm i dont think wedges would look right for an LBD, try gold heels or red heels, or pumps.
