My sister wrote a letter to the judge regarding her bf's charges of rape and assault on another woman. The whole case was placed on the back burner for one year. Such letters could help ... and not do a darn thing.

If you are talking about a parole hearing, then the letter would go to the parole board.

If you are talking about overturning an established sentence, then those facts are not relevant to the appeals process.

definitely. once you're in reformatory/penal complex, you have lost all your rights to privateness (different than lawyer/client rights). they like to verify which you're no longer receiving drugs or carrying out unlawful events out of your cellular. the folk on the exterior have not got reasonable expectation of privateness while writing to reformatory/penal complex inmates.
