the answer is: "i can't i have a boyfriend".
it cannot be i can't have a boyfriend b/c then it would say "no puedo TENER novio".and it also cant be "i don't have a boyfriend" b/c then it would say "no tengo novio" that would delete the word "puedo".its confusing but trust me there is a big difference.hope this helps.God bless

A little puncuation would help. Seems like it should be:
No puedo. Tengo novio. Penelope has it right.
