A few short months ago I was in Japan, and the YEN exchange to American Dollar was like 15:1. If you want to use an Asian foreign exchange in your comparison, I would recommend Sing Dollar (Singapore) as it is about 1.5:1, a lot closer to the value of the American Dollar.

maybe the US$ but not the YEN. That isn't worth anything.
