Yes I think they are over rated. The next few week we should get an idea on this team. The media jumps on the bandwagon and the hype just grows. They have a good team just not as good as the media thinks they are.

I don't think so. They have probably the best coach and best QB in the country. They always get a lot of attention because they are ND. I think Ga Tech is being slighted here. This is a good team ND beat Saturday night on the road. ND has a couple of tests coming up with Penn St and Michigan coming to South Bend in the next two games. Those two games will help to answer your question. If ND stumbles in either one of those two, you may be right to say they were overrated.

No they are not, but i do not like the preseason rankings. they had the best O in football last year. they lost 1 wr but got #5 back, they have 2 or 3 O line men back from last year, and 2 great te. there D will be there set back and they know that, that is why they went for it on 4th and 1 to but away gt. some of their D went to speed training to help with that. they shut down gt in the 2nd half the only O they had was Ball and his running. quinn was the best QB in the nation last year. if you think he is a puss, just look at his first year. his first start he was sacked 14 times, hit how many more, and still played every game. if you look at their schedule last year they at the start of the year they were playing the # 1,3,4 in the nation. they always have the toughest schedule in the county. every one says they are over rated and fav. but look at everyone that hates them for winning

No, they have 2 potential all-american Wideouts in Rhema McKnight and Jeff Samardzija, a Heisman Candidate QB in Brady Quinn, and a very effective running back in Darius Walker.
Their defense also came out huge against the #1 Wideout in the Country [#21 of GT]

Of course they are but that goes along with the enormous East Coast bias in the media. They only played two teams that were at or above .500 last year and play in the easiest division in sports where their biggest competition is the NAVY!!! They never beat any top 25 team but are ranked ahead of teams like Texas and USC. And where is UCLA in these rankings? They were a top ten team last year. Instead we see a team like Cal getting ranked 9th!!!

It's bullcrap. now everyones a ND fan. i ust to hate USC but now i want them to kill ND. Ohio State will win the Championship anyways. GO BUCKS!!! NOTRE DAME SUCKS!!! no they have some really good players and you can't just assume their overrated because of the first game. I mean every team has a bad game no matter how good they are. If they don't play good the rest of the season against their opponents, then you can say they're overrated.

Always has been, always will be. Tha media won't back off until one of N.D's patsy opponents beats or scares them. ND usually schedules enough crap teams to give them a winning season.

They are good under charlie weiss, but I don't think they are that dominant like people are saying they might be. I don't think they will make the BCS championship in the polls.
