Have you seen or heard the banshee?

So I have been told by my adopted mother, there are Banshee's in Ireland. She said as a little girl she would hear the Banshee's call when a person died. She also told me that the Banshee's would call out to ships, causing the sailors to look for them, once the men would jump into the water the Banshee's would drown the men...

Hmmmm as I have never been in Ireland while someone close to me was dying, nor at all, and as it is the banshee's land, no. But I have heard Siouxsie and the Banshees :)

According to legend the Banshee only haunted particular families of Irish heritage.....As my family IS Irish but not descendant from those under the curse, I've never heard it.

It is a death omen to see, or hear the Banshee. I haven't seen/ heard her, nor do I ever want to. Like previously stated, she only visits certain families if Irish descent, often thought to be her from her bloodlines.

YES! I was married to her for five hellish horrifying years! The woman had a scream that would send Godzilla running through the jungle crying like a girly man. I SURVIVED THE BANSHEE and I have the T-Shirt.

Nope! I do know someone who said she heard it up in the mountains of Yakima Washington.She has now passed away of a early age of forty. She lived before in the higher Cowiche Canyon when she and her neice heard it. Cold chills and coldness and shakes over took them. she left for a month and passed a way.

ive posted this for banshee witnesses i live in massachussetts u.s.a i have seen the banshee and with my friend at my side he had seen her too she made me feel warm but also protective of myself at the same time but made him feel horrible and stiff he couldnt move hard to explain and its odd that not even a minute before then the friend i was with said he heard someone whispering help me "when im done ill explain my theories btw" so after he said he heard that we were walking in his backyard to the backdoor to get in the house im looking at the ground watching my step when he stops me and i look up and that second felt like forever her face was empty no eyes and it seemed that her mouth was always open her skin was grey and seemed dead and decayed she had white hair but if i didnt see her face she would look like a floating sheet she was looking directly at my friend untill i said "what the" then she put her focus on me and thats when i felt that i shouldnt be scared she begins to jump and spin like she was playing and skipping away from me then she just flies impossibly fast away and stops about 30 yards away from us and stares at that moment i turn and look at my friend about to ask if im crazy and hes just stiff as a board and i turn and look back at it and its still there i can see the empty eyes and open mouth still i step torward it and point and she turns to her right and my left and flies so fast that you can hear her clothing or whatever flapping sounding like hundreds of giant birds flapping and disappears into the woods after i ask him what he made of the situation and he said he felt horrible and i asked about the flapping sound and he said he couldnt hear anything over the crazy loud wailing screams which explains why her mouth was open as soon as he said screams my geek side kicks in and i knew immediately that she was a banshee and that it wasnt good news that i couldnt hear her most likely she was warning him about me but i felt good when i saw her despite how confused i was i think that she was happy cause she could save me from a death and the way i think she saved me was by sacrificing his dog :,( because the next day the dog was dead but i know by lore that all the friends and family of the presumed to die will hear the screams even miles away but the one who is supposed to die will only hear her flutters and thats all i heard either she took the dogs life cause it was his time or replaced me with him or im soon to die but the way she made me feel made me not scared of death it felt nice and she moved so free and mystical i think her job is to let you know that its ok, ive been trying to make sense of this for a couple days and that is what i think happened to me they a very real and i wouldnt be surprised if almost any lore or myth you could think of is very real in someway according to lore anyone can see them but if you dont hear it when you see it is the bad news

But my little sister could fill that role quite nicely.
