Yes they can. I have had canned goods freeze when left in an unheated houseboat over the winter. Contents will be good if the can has not expanded to the point that the seal is broken. Contents can be somewhat mushy for some items.
Good luck with your canned goods.

You probably shouldn't. Cans are a rigid storage medium and freezing them and the contents could cause warping or the cans to slip. Try this with a can of soda and see what happens. I guess I am curious - why would you feel the need to freeze a canned good?

Are you asking if you can freeze canned food?
I'm sure you could but whatever it is will be extremely mushy when you thaw it out. Canning food tends to break it down quite a bit and freezing it will break it down even more.
I'm assuming that your not putting a can of something in the freezer but have opened the can and now want to put the leftovers in the freezer. Right?

Why would you freeze canned goods?
Canned goods are vacuum packed, and can last a year or more without freezing. Just keep them in a nice dark place. Like a cabinet.
As suggested below:
FREEZING a can of soda is DIFFERENT.
Soda is carbonated. It's one of the reasons why a can of soda will bulge or explode in a freezer. (Yes, I am guilty of that. What can I say?? I like slushy soda!)

I suppose you could put the stuff in the freezer if you wanted to but canned goods usually go through a processing technique called "retort" which kills off bacteria so it can be "canned" in a healthy manner for an extended shelf-life.
The problem with putting stuff int he freezer is due to all the water content, you're more than likely going to break / puncture the can and then it'll be open for other forms of bacteria.
