I thought islam was a religion, not a race. I read some comments on YA! indicating that some people assume Islam to be a race. Muslims are a variety of races, not just one. God lbess you Muslims if you do feel oppressed. But look up the word racism. Mybe someone can give me a logical definition of "racism" as well.

I'm a muslim.An Egyptian one
Muslims in middle east as I know r :
Sunni :I'm one of them, nearly all Egyptians are
Shites:Most of Iraqi muslims ,some r in saudi arabia
Alaweyen:Syrians as I know
There r muslims as Malcolm X who discovered very lately that he wasn't a true muslim(see the movie)
Islam has one and only prophet(Muhammad PBUH).
That man who Malcolm was one of his men(alaija Muhammaad)
claimed to be the prophet and people believed him.
All violence caused by his followers was claimed to be the responsibility of Islam but what they done has nothing to do with Islam.
But the main Islam has no different concepts
Islam is Islam. one and only Islam.
To get a glimpse about our prophet and religion, u can download this book:

Muslim is a catch all subtext for anyone of Middle Eastern descent.

Just like when Bush slams "Islamo-Facists"...he really means Arabs.
