Brackets don't act as multiplication signs, you just do what is in them first and then put that number into the rest of the equation - if i remember correctly.
5 - 2 [ -3 - 2(4-6)] = -4
5-2 [-3-2(-2)] =
5-2 [-3- -4] =
subracting a negative is adding again
5 -2 [-7] =
5 -2 -7 =

Always do operands in the parathense first.
5-2 [ -3-2 (4-6) ] = 5-2 [ -3-2 (-2)] = 5-2 [ -3 +4] = 5-2 [ +1] = 5 -2 = 3

first work the aprenthesis
-3 minus 2 is -1
then 4-6 is negitive 2
always when in parenthises x when there are no signs
so -2 x -1 when ever you times two numbers that are negitive you get your answer and then make it positive
so -2x-1=2
3x2=6 and your answer is 6
