Wear HMIS approved gear depending on the rating. You have a strong acid and base present.

So work in a well ventrilated room, wear eye protection, lab coat and some chemical resistant gloves and be careful.

Also, don't pour the stuff down the drain unless you neutralize it first....poor fishies.

You always need safety goggles with side shields when working with chemicals. You also need some type of disposable rubber glove, that is resistant to acids and bases. Make sure you are also wearing a lab coat, to avoid getting chemicals on your clothing. be careful when pouring, use properly sized glassware, funnels, etc. Make sure you know where the spill kits are and how to use them.Read your MSDS sheets for further information.

3M HCL you definitely need to be wearing splash goggles, and nitrate gloves to handle this acid.Check MSDS though.

Be careful while mixing them, K2CO3 is a basic salt.
