I cannot be sure without additional information, but the higher value stamps, LEFT ON THE ORIGINAL document may be worth considerable money - several hundred dollars each. You need to show them to a knowledgable person, as minor differences in design may mean big differences in value. Your first stop should be http://www.stamps.org - at this site you can find out if there are any stamp dealers or stamp clubs in your area. An in-person examination of your items is highly desirable.

Next go the the website of the American Revenue Association http://www.revenuer.org/ and consider joining to get in-depth information about stamps of this type. A good color photocopy or scan of these documents could be sent to any officer listed and would probably get you a lot of information.

You have a real historical prize there - do NOT attempt to take the stamps off the paper!!!!
