hi ,my teacher asked this question to us its like,how many ways can a person move while he at one place like rotation,revolution etc....
plzz reply quickly its urgent

you have 3 degree of liberty in tranlastion and 3 degrees of liberty in rotation... Therefore there are 6 ways of moving (relatively to something else). But most of them are unamed.

the rest is only a collection of names you put on specific patterns of movement. It's useless to learn those names, except to recognize them in a book.

PS: if your teacher asked you a question, then the answer is in your textbook... READ IT !!!! and learn it, too...

Three axes of translation, and three of rotation. Two rotations about different axes can generally be combined into a single rotation about another axis.
