I can not sign that petition and this is why:

Princess Diana was the most beautiful person inside and out, that I feel has ever graced this Earth, however, she made a choice when she married into that family. She chose to accept the tabloid rumors, and she chose to accept the consequences of that life (the backstabbing, the scandals, etc.). That was the life, and she knew that going in (or at least very early on in the relationship).

Now, private lives are private lives, until we die. Then our spouses, the media or whomever has every right to write about it, as long as it is factual and not inuendo, slander or things that can not be verified.

Instead of sending a petition to boycott the book (which can be done from the comfort of your own home), go out to the bookstores and ask them to not sell it. Ask THEM to take a stand. Also contact the publishers, and express your concerns. If enough people contact the publisher claiming they will not buy nor read the book, the publisher has the option of saying "too controversial" or "not enough money will be made so we are voiding out contract with the author".

Yes, it is a disgrace, however Diana knew that people could be like this, and she chose to confide in him. And she is no longer around to protect that confidence.

If I chose to spill my guts to you, after I no longer am around, you would have the right to make money off of that. It is the way human nature is. But I ultimately would have had to have made the choice to spill my guts, so I would have to accept the consequences of that choice.

I'm getting really annoyed with the way the whole Diana business is dragging on and on. I get the impression it will become another Jack the Ripper case i.e. unsolved and forever mulled over in future generations. Or by the time anyone is ever found guilty they also will be dead but in their case of old age. Whole forests must have been chopped down already to provide the necessary paper for all the articles on her life and death. It's long since become too morbid for words.

I'm with tommy on this one. There was absolutely nothing special about the woman ... apart from how many men she could get through in a limited amount of time.

The walking through minefields always used to make me smile. As if anyone was going to let her do that, even with all the protective gear she was furnished with.

I can make midnight visits to hospitals and halfway houses, if they'll let me through the doors.

Having said that, Burrell is a tosser ... a ROCK tosser, by his account.

Princess Diana was as classy as they come and if anyone wants to pay money to read the garbage this second class citizen puts out then let them but I'd never waste my money on such rubbish, she was a great woman and I'll always admire her...
