Leonard Cohen - You Have Loved Enough lyrics
In my opinion, the story is about a guy who has tried to be with someone who didnt feel the same way, but in that line that person finally gives in and says that now, it's my turn to be the one seeking love.

by the way, I didn't get it from Letssingit.com. I've liked his stuff ever since I saw "Natural Born Killers"

"You Have Loved Enough" by Leonard Cohen.

And umm...to be honest with you, im not really sure what it means. In the lyrics it seems like the person whos singin the song is explainin that he/she really wants to be with the person he/she is singin this song about...and in the "You whisper, 'You have loved enough, now let me be the lover...'" part, it seems like the person finally returned the singers feelings.

Leonard Cohen.

You could say that God is speaking to you or the cosmos, or your lover. It just means, like, Forget it. Lean back and be loved by all that is already loving you. It is your effort at love that is preventing you from experiencing it." --from an interview on the 10 New Songs site
