Your breasts didn't get bigger if you went from a C to an A, the cup size is the size of the actual breast (A is smallest).
The other number is the measurement around your ribs. This can increase as you grow, and if you gain weight.

You must have put on weight...or, that is the worst case scenario..but you might have ill fitting bras honey..if they are cheap..(not to make you feel bad) you won't get an accurate size..they might just be the same anyway..go to a place and try the same brand on..and try both sizes and see if there is any difference..

Maybe you have been wearing the wrong size of bra. I thought I was a size 34B for years, then I went and got measured and found out that I was in fact a size 32C

If you used to be a C and now you're an A then they got smaller.

measure your breasta nd compare with the exact period of the cycle,
many women have cyclical canges in size .. and its normal..
