Both are monotheistic religions, and recognize some of the same prophets. Islam takes elements of both Judaism and Christianity. Each has its "holy book", but these differ markedly in approach: the bible is largely "historical" tales (in quotes, because many have little or no foundation in fact), while the Qur'an is mostly exhortations about how one should believe and act. Both religions have the property that many of their nominal adherents have practices that differ markedly from the teachings of their prophets.

Whoa - that's a BIG question - to which I'm going to give a short answer:
Main difference:
Christians: Jesus Christ was the Son of God.
Muslims: Isa (Jesus Christ) was a major prophet, the last one before the "ultimate prophet", Muhammad.
Try the sites below for more details - from both points of view.

The root. Bottom line - they both believe in one God. Yahweh or Allah..... whats the difference? Nothing much EXCEPT the believers who have nothing better to do but kill each other.
