I heard it first a 2am EST on NPR radio, when I was half asleep. At first I thought it was a dream, until got confirmation after waking up. I was shocked, and couldn't be live it. I still can't. My first thoughts were about his family, especially Bindi and Baby Bob. I lost my dad when I was 8, so I can feel her pain. He was an incredible man, full of life and passion for his two big loves, animal conservation and his family. My tears where shed for his wife and children. I also can't get over the irony of it, him swimming with some of the most docilee sea creatures, and that same creature accidentally kills him. It reminds us that even the most docil wild animal is still that Wild and unpredictable. Also of all the places on his body where he could have been pierced by the sting rays barb and still survive, he gets stung in the small spot that is unsurvivable.
He will be missed by all, person and animal.
His family are in my prayers

I cried. Steve to me replaced right into a good guy and that i watched him for the time of each and every television visual allure he made, his video clips, and his animal planet instruct. I continuously had to pass to the Australian Zoo and observe what astounding international he created for the animals that he made understanding of, so widely used. I aways had to satisfy him and idea he replaced right into a complete hottie. I do experience terrible of his lack of existence, because it replaced into so surprising and so ironic. He positioned his existence on the line time after time with the large crocs, snakes, and different creatures he loved yet his lack of existence replaced into led to via a fish. So ironic and so unhappy. Steve Irwin is someone i will not in any respect forget and he will survive in the middle and heads of one of those great number of kids and adults that he reached out to furnish understanding too.

I thought it was a joke when I first heard on CNN, but then they had the report, I'm sad he was a great guy, I felt bad for his kids they are so little. I remembered an ex co-worker that told me once the only reason he watched The Cocodrile Hunter was to see when he was getting killed, I know that is sick, but he was always putting his life on the line.

Shocked and Sad. I don't think I'll be able to look at a croc in the zoo without crying.

I had no idea, until I read about it on a friend's blog. I'm really sad. His poor kids and wife. I mean, it was a risk that he was taking, but still, I'm sad. I'm in shock. I called my dad and my sister to tell them too.

I always thought the guy was crazy.
But he was a nice guy, and he did a lot for animals, and even though i never watch his show i still feel like i'll miss him.

I still can't stop thinking about it.. he was making a difference in his community and ours.. He showed us things we would never have been able to be a part of.. it is like losing one of our own.. It is sad.. :(
