First I would suggest cruising through entries in a livejournal called "freestuff". I've posted the link below. I'm a member there and have gotten some neat freebies though it.

I've posted several freebies sites below. You'll have to hunt and peck to find baby freebies, but you'll probably find some good stuff for mama too!

What you can also do is go to the sites of all the companies that make things that your baby uses. Check the sites for freebies and promotions. Check back often for new promos that the companies are offering. It can also never hurt to send a note in asking if any free samples or coupons are available. (If you call Gerber's 800-number, they will send you coupons for just calling! We had a question about their bottles and ended up getting on a mailing list for their coupons!)

Check the sites of the stores where you shop for baby items, some will offer freebies through their sites (Walmart is a good one, they always have some sort of free samples).

You can also go to www.google.com and type in freebies and samples. You'll usually get a decent array of sites and or items.

Freecycle can be an excellent source of free baby things. We just got two perfectly good infant swings a couple fo months ago... absolutely free. I also hear that craigslist has a free offer section (they have listings by city, so find the one nearest you and see what you can pick up!).

I listed a bunch of freebie sites below. I've gotten free samples of just about every baby item you can imagine (I have enough diapers to keep a newborn dry for a year!). Hunt around, take a few of the suggestions you're going to get here and I think you'll find your mailbox overflowing in no time!

Good luck and happy hunting!

I got a free bib, bowl, and cereal samples from Beechnut. Try finding that website and see if they still have it.
