Hand out- Give a man a fish and he will eat for only that day..
Hand up- teach a man to fish and he will eat for life.
Hand up is better because that person learns to become self reliant.

Have a great day!!!

A hand out may only help a person for maybe a single time, a hand up can help a person be self sufficient for a lifetime.

It as in the old saying: Give a person a fish, they eat for a day, teach them how to fish, and they eat for a lifetime.

A handout is dependency, a hand up is helping someone to help them self.
