Too much education - impossible!
Too much knowledge - the path to early death!
If I have learnt every thing there is to know, I have outlived my usefulness.
As to formal education? Enough is when you have accumulated enough knowledge to run your life in a way that will be fulfilling for you and still be acceptable to society in general.
It is personal and no one , not your parents, girlfriends, wife, husband etc can make that decision for you.

Never enough. Formal education may have limits in terms of individual capability to achieve but there is no limit to informal education. Life itself is a continuing educational process (some learn the lessons easily, others never learn at all).

Depends on what you want. If you want to be happy with a lot of friends, don't go to college. If you want to have a great family, just get a bachelors degree. If you want a good job with a fair amount of respect and a strained family life with only a couple of close friends, get a masters. If you want to be highly regarded where ever you go, but don't want to ever have children or be married, and what only colleagues, not friends, get a doctorate.
It's true, everything has a price. You can't have it all.
