Begin by plotting "inches" on one axis (x) and "size" on the other (y). Plot your two points and draw a line between them. Then figure out the slope-intercept equation. Y=mx + b or F(x) =ax + b (However your teacher showed you). X is slope. Slope is rise over run. So slope is "increase in shoe size PER each 1 inch increase in foot length" if you plotted on the axes I suggested. Figure out your slope by counting rise over run between your two points. Plug that value into your equation along with Shaq's shoe size and solve for Y (or F(x)).
