Yes, I can believe it. The man did things that were inherintly dangerous. It's how it would have wanted to go probably.
"DCI is looking at the creation of the Steve Irwin Crocodile Hunter Fund, which we'll affectionately call "The Crikey Fund" to honor Steve's passion and exuberance for conservation and the animal kingdom. This fund will allow people from across the globe to make contributions in Steve's honor to support wildlife protection, education and conservation. The fund in addition to contributions by DCI will also aid Steve's Australia Zoo in Breewah, Australia as well as educational support for Bindi and Bob Irwin.
Right now, our focus is on Terri and the children. We will keep you informed as plans unfold to pay tribute to our beloved Steve Irwin. "
That was on the Discovery website. I haven't seen anywhere for condolences yet.

I'm not fond of snakes and crocodiles but Steve Irwin was the person who could make them look as lovely creatures. I'm so sorry he died...
On this web site you can find an adress not for a simpathy card though, but if you want to write something about him from your point of view: http://edition.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/09/04/australia.irwin/index.html

I know! It's so sad. I was shocked when I read about it on the internet! I remember watching his show as a little kid! Everyone in my family is disappointed to hear this tragedy. I was fasinated by his work. He was such a good man.

It is a shame, if you want to send a card or something similar, maybe you could send something to that Australia Zoo place he worked at ?
