As a student who has actively studied psychology in college I have come to understand the means of jealously. No I don't fully understand the actions of every single person but I understand the issue of why jealously happens. The perception of jealously for everyone is different but it could steam from a underlining issue that people don't think they have but comes out into their personality as they become more jealous of envious of the person.
I think jealously happens when one see's someone with something they don't have. The first response is to be envious of them which everyone is at some part of their life. It could be that they are envious of a persons personality, beauty, money, self respect, clothes, family, friends, or other material things. No it don't have to always be material things it could be mental, spiritual things, and all kinds areas. As the more envious becomes jealousy steams from the obsession they have. If one obsesses over another persons life they will become jealous.

RE:
Why do people get jealous?
Not saying that anyone is jealous of me, 'cause I am pretty sure no one is, but why do people get jealous of the people that get what they want and not angry at the people who gave it to them?

People get jealous because they often want the same things and their usually isn't enough to go enough to go around. That is compounded by the fact that life isn't fair and we don't start with equal chances of getting what we want. As someone who was born into a poor family, I can't help but be a little jealous of people who are born into money. But jealousy is a completely normal emotion, when taken in moderation. Without it, we would lose a lot of our ambition.

Fact from fiction, truth from diction. Jealousy stems from imbalance and frustration. We are taught since we knew ourselves abut fairness. We are also told that if you work hard for what you want, education, fame girls, guys, money, etc you can get it. But the world is not fair. When we see someone slacking f*** up getting it easy it makes us mad. We do not see it as fair. We haven't got it after all that hard work. And this lazy turnip is having everything handed to him where he did not have to bust a sweat. Doesn't seem fair. And that causes frustration. And that frustration of not bieng able to have what they have, which we feel we should. Fosters jealousy.

They are jealous because they are too lazy to work hard and get things for themselves.
