when i turn on my computer i get a message saying self test check pc and signal cables monitor is working this started up after i restarted my computer my processor constantly runs and the monitor shows that message nothing else happens i plugged in an old tower and things worked fine when i plug my good one back in i still get the same message

keep using the old one or take the good one back for a refund!

It means your PC isn't sending any signals to your monitor. Call tech support. It can mean from a loose wire to a busted hard drive. Also - check if the cards at the back of the monitor seem pushed in. A card out of its slot can often be the culprit.

have the hardware checked. Your ports might be deteriorating already.
